CHN joined our members - Beacon Charitable Pharmacy, Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio, St. Vincent de Paul Cincinnati - Charitable Pharmacy - in testifying to support HB 558 in the Ohio Senate Health Committee on Nov. 30.
The bill helps improve the lack of medication access for Ohio’s uninsured and underinsured by allowing charitable pharmacies, hospitals and nonprofit clinics to receive and distribute unused medications that are donated by the public.
HB 558 passed the Ohio House unanimously in April and appears poised to move through Senate this month. All pending legislation must pass by the end of December or the legislative process must start from the beginning in the next session of the General Assembly.
As the legislative session sprints to the finish, we will keep you posted on this and other legislative issues.
